New toys!

Back again! I am determined! Well, I ordered a couple of stamps from Whiff of Joy last week, partly on eldest daughter's request, since she liked one of the Guardian Angel stamps so much, and then just because I thought the little celebrating mouse was so cute :)
This first one is for the Daring Cardmakers challenge to use at least three different patterned papers, and, if possible, use papers from different lines! This is a challenge for me, I've always struggled matching papers, but I wanted to give it a go. Got out my box of scraps and after a bit of rummaging found some usable pieces and this is what I came up with:

The image is "Melinda reading book" from Whiff of Joy, coloured with watercolour pencils, a bit of stickles added to the wings and cut out with labels 1 nestie die. Papers are from an ancient Costco pack (green gingham), Papermania Christmas pack (pink/white polka dot) and DCWV (blue floral). Lots of ink round the edges, sentiment from SU! and a couple of buttons and some ribbon from stash.

This second one I made "just because" - I had to have a play with this cute little stamp :)

I think the image is called "Henry celebrating mouse", again from Whiff of Joy, again, watercoloured and stickled, cut out with nesties. Papers again are from that notorious Costco pack (will it ever run out?), ribbon from Ribbon Oasis, but I'm not sure where the various flowers and brads came from. Well, I had lots of fun doing these, and I'm starting to think I'm really getting back into the swing of things

Hope you're all having a great Sunday, thanks for stopping by!
