I've actually made a card today! Crafting time has been non-existent lately, because my parents were visiting and we did loads of things together like going to a concert at the Festival, shopping in Edinburgh, a trip to the Seabird Centre in North Berwick etc. It was fun, but part of me is also glad to be able to get back into a routine now - the kids have been back at school for three weeks now, and I'm still catching up on stuff... Never mind, I've got very good intentions now and hope to craft and post much more regularly!
So, I made a card for "Pretty in Pink", the latest challenge over at Cute Card Thursday. Not too hard for a mum of three girls, pink has always featured quite strongly in our house (although eldest daughter has made noises that she no longer likes pink, it's too girly, and she prefers to be cooler now... She's nine!)
I've used pink cardstock from the Paper Mill Shop, patterned paper of which I can't remember the manufacturer, a watercoloured Tilda image, some ribbon, some primas and a little bling. The sentiment is by Stampin' Up!
And then I came across a card I made before my folks got here, but which I hadn't posted yet. And guess what - it's got a lot of pink, too!
The image is one I received from Nicola, and yes, it was watercoloured and then mounted on a pink nestie circle. The patterned paper is DCWV, pink card is Paper Mill, sentiment is computer-printed and the buttons, thread and ribbon are from stash.
And finally, I used some of the scraps from the first card to make a little 3x3 card which can be used as a gift tag or just a little note card. I'm going to try and do that more often, once I've finished a card, use the leftovers to make a tag or tiny card or some such thing. Good intentions!
Oh well, hubby is just in from work, so I guess we'd better get the tea on. Must have forgotten what time it was, oh dear! :) Thanks for looking!
