More Mother's Day

I know Mother's Day has been and gone, but I'm going to post a few more of the cards that I made for the fair. Both layouts came from the clean&simple challenge blog, and while you can see that I was maybe a little in a rush for this first card, I'm really quite taken with how the other two turned out :)

The first card uses Baroque Motifs, Occasional Greetings and the colours Rose Red, Certainly Celery and Lovely Lilac, all by Stampin' Up!

The second card uses Chocolate Chip, Taken with Teal and Close to Cocoa, a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background panel, plus Damask Designs and Textstyle background from Papertrey Ink for the focal image.

And lastly, this is all Stampin' Up! again (except for the computer-printed sentiment and the bits of bling), using Chocolate Chip card, ink and ribbon, Sweet Always paper and Happy Moment stamp set. Hope you like this wee selection!

Little Boy's Cards

Now, you don't get to see this very often on this here blog, but I made a couple of cards for little boys!!!

My friend asked me to make a card for her nephew's first birthday, so here is what I came up with:

The image is by Pink Cat Studio, I believe, and was sent to me some time ago by the lovely and very talented Nicola, and the papers were part of my Stampin' Sister package from my wonderful "sister" Harriet :) Sentiment and letter stamps, plus all the cardstock are from Stampin' Up!

The next card I made for the our monthly SBS26 sketch swap:

Again, I've used those cool papers, along with a Riley image Harriet kindly sent as well, lots of ink round all the edges, sentiment from Papertrey and little star buttons from stash. I'm really pleased with how it turned out, I usually struggle with boys' cards! There may be hope yet ;-) Thanks for looking!

Springtime Crochet

I really cannot resist pretty crochet things at the moment, so when I stopped by Attic24 the other day and saw this little cutie, I had to go and make one for myself! My husband pulled a face when he first heard the words "crochet" and "wreath", but when he saw the finished item in situ, he had to admit that it was really quite cheery and cute. So here it is:

It hangs by my front door along with a couple of bright, wooden flower decorations, and it makes me smile every time I walk past :) Thank you, Lucy, for the inspiration!

New Baby

Our next door neighbours have had a baby - a much longed for little baby boy! So to go with their gifts, I had to make a little card, of course :) This one is all Stampin' Up!, using Nursery Necessities and the colours Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and So Saffron, and the Scallop Border punch.
Thanks for looking!

Mother's Day Cards

The fair at which I had a table took place the week before Mother's Day (in the UK), so I prepared a pile of Mother's Day cards and was pleased to see a lot of them sell :) Here are a few samples:

The first two use Papertrey's Damask Designs stamps and a Stampin' Up! sentiment, the last one uses Cosmo Cricket papers and Stampin' Up! frame and sentiment stamps. Flowers, ribbons and gems are from stash.

Back to blogging

Wow, I can't believe how quickly a month can pass! I was pretty busy making stuff for a fair a couple of weeks ago, and when it was over, my mojo kinda left with it and I took a little breather from paper and card. However, I have quite a few of the things to show that I made for the fair, so that's what I'll do now. And so there won't be too many pictures in one post, I shall split them up and for the first time attempt to schedule my posts!?! Wish me luck, I hope it'll work!

To start with, the last card I sent to my Stampin' Sister in February, along with her package of goodies. I've used Costco papers, a scrap of brown velvet ribbon, Papertrey sentiment and the flowers is made from several, scrunched-up punched scallop circles. Quite simple, but I like :) Hope you like, too, thanks for stopping by!
